D'vinee Roots grew from the mind of Julio Desmarat, founder & barber stylist. As a barber who focuses on providing quality cuts and services, Julio decided to also challenge himself to meet the specific need of a client suffering from alopecia.

"One day, my client who suffered from alopecia asked me if I could do anything to mask his patches. I thought to myself jokingly, 'shave you bald...' but I know how important confidence is to a man."

That day, with his client's need in mind, Julio mixed shea butter & Haitian Castor oil in a bottle. He prayed over it and gave it to his client. Weeks later he received news that the client's patches had been growing full since using the concoction.

"This is what gave me the idea to mix oils to treat various hair problems in both my male and female clientele."
